Lallemand Baking Announces Yeast Price Increase

July 2, 2021 –  As we are all aware 2021 has presented tremendous supply chain disruptions and other global issues, that we continue to be faced with. These events have driven our suppliers of substrates, raw materials, packaging, pallets, and transportation services to push heavy increases onto us.

Price increases are never easy to communicate, and we continuously strive in preserving and finding ways in improving our controllable expenses. The uncontrollable mentioned above presents a situation that as of August 2, 2021 pricing will be adjusted, accordingly for the following reasons:

– Yeast costs up by 13%
– Packaging Costs up by 27%
– Distribution costs up by 13%

Our teams are very committed in providing top customer service. Lately there has been additional stresses applied onto them with carrier limitations, it is business critical to ensure that your teams are respecting lead times and avoiding any last-minute change orders.
